Anthony Lopez at Brandfest 2017

Anthony Lopez, founder and Principal at Lopez Design was invited to speak at The Himalayan Times Brandfest 2017 at Kathmandu, Nepal. The event, which took place ay Soaltee Crowne Plaza on August 11th and 12th was hosted by popular speaker Cyrus Broacha. The list of eminent speakers included Fredik Haren, Colvyn Harris, Anisha Motwani, Michele Anne Venter-Davies, Nikolaus Eberl, Tay Guan Hin, Anthony Lopez and Rohan Routroy. A wide audience of marcom professionals attended. Anthony talked about branding experience with witty anecdotes, linking it to his own origins and growth in design. He connected the role of culture and context in the formation of brands and the need for brands to bring out genuine experiences by delving into their true character. His interpretation of branding was easy to understand and absorb, and this was highly appreciated. Anthony who has visited Nepal more than 30 times, finds a lot of similarities between Nepal and India. He particularly stressed on how branding must connect to the ‘rhythm of people’.
